Guessing Games

Some crucial piece of information is missing from a key player, and through the others improvising skills, he or she must determine what that is while carrying on a scene.

Cliche Family Feud: Credits, Friday Night Improvs
Introduction - Four people are chosen they divide into two groups of two, are given a genre of film, theater, or television and leave the room. The host then procures a list of cliches common to that particular genre. The first team enters and performs a two minutes scene and tries to incorporate as many cliches they can think of. The second team does the same and the team whoever gets the most cliches wins.
Description - This isn't quite pure improv because while the cliches are written down. The players are preparing what they will say. But it is alot of fun. Between eight and twelve cliches is plenty. Often times this game deteriorates into two people standing up on stage just guessing the cliches. This should be avoided, so it can be a good idea to mention this in the introduction.

Mr Sexy: Credits, Friday Night Improvs
Introduction - It's time for everyone's favorite ladies man, Mr Sexy. He is so good that he has three dates set up for the same night at the same restaraunt. But Mr, Sexy has so many women that he can't remember what they do for a living and what their favorite food is. The guy that is Mr Sexy leaves the room and his three women are each given an occupation and favorite food and then Mr Sexy must guess what each one is while keeping them all happy. Their is also a waiter that will help Mr Sexy in case he has a hard time, and direct him to which table needs him.
Description - A large stage is very helpful for this. Ideally six chairs or stools are placed as far apart as possible. The waiter allows things to continue for awhile and then creates an excuse for Mr Sexy to leave. Moving Mr Sexy alot near the end of the game, while his dates start to become irate is also fun. He should also be moved when one or both of the things are guessed. The waiter can also imply what type of restaraunt each person is in.
Variations - Ms Sexy can be used as well.

Description - It is essential that the guessers try to keep in character and keep talking like a PBS pledge break person would. If not, this just becomes a glorified game of charades. It is not essential for the guesser to get it right away, good comedy comes from bad guesses by the guessers. The host plays the conductor of the audition and switch from time to time.
